Appointments without the rush
Support if travel is difficult
I returned from holiday with very blocked ears, and called BFG hearing solutions at lunchtime. By 4pm one ear (the worst) was completely clear and a follow up appointment to clear the second following a few days of drops was arranged, and included in the very reasonable cost. Paul was very professional and friendly, and is pretty much a lug wizard. A brilliant service from an excellent local independent business, 100% recommended 👍

Woke up with a blocked ear and was quite distressed. Paul at BFG Hearing Solutions provided a quick, safe, and professional ear wax removal service. The improvement in my hearing was amazing, I can even turn the TV volume down now! Friendly, efficient service and highly recommended.

How microsuction earwax removal works
Clear, unrestricted hearing is important for your wellbeing, so we make the process straightforward to understand. We use the ClearWax system with a live camera view of your outer ear, ear canal and eardrum, allowing you to watch exactly what we see throughout the appointment. If wax is hardened, we use medical-grade olive oil where needed before removing it gently with microsuction, usually in a single visit.
Call BFG Hearing Solutions Limited to book earwax removal in Gateshead.

Transparent pricing with clinic and home visit options
Our pricing is simple, with both ears included for every appointment. Clinic appointments at our Team Valley clinic cost £60, while home visits across the North East are available for £80 if travelling is difficult. If a follow-up appointment is needed to complete the removal safely, there is no extra charge. We can also screen your hearing during the same visit and refer you to your GP if we identify an infection.
ClearWax technology with WAXscope precision
Our ClearWax system uses the WAXscope, which incorporates a speculum to stabilise, dilate and straighten the ear canal for exceptional visibility during wax removal. The magnification, clarity and focus are comparable to an ENT microscope, giving a detailed view throughout the procedure. This level of visibility supports careful, precise treatment and is based on the same endoscopic approach used by ENT surgeons during ear procedures. We're registered with the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, Health & Care Professions Council (HAD02842), and hold a DBS Certificate, giving you added confidence in the care and professionalism you can expect.
You can see what we see
We use a camera to show you inside your ear canal on screen. That gives you a clearer picture of the blockage and the result after removal.
Appointments without the rush
We give you time to talk through what is happening with your hearing. That calmer pace helps you feel more comfortable and better informed.
Support if travel is difficult
We can arrange home visits across the North East for people who can't easily get to the clinic. That helps keep ear care accessible when getting out is not straightforward.
